Installation: Change

This installation had a lot of preparation involved. Kennedy Heights Arts Center is home to a very old building that has needed a lot of love and rework throughout the years. Before we could install Change, the walls needed to be stripped and add new drywall. After this was completed, I went in and spackled any holes and dimples in the walls. I then sanded the walls and taped the edges to prepare for painting. There are four gallery rooms at the arts center and a hallway. All of them were reworked and freshly painted. I took the skills I learned from the renovations for the Mother Earth exhibition and applied them for this project.

After all the preparations were completed, installation began.
